Very few things in the world are more magical than witnessing a live performance by a highly acclaimed professional orchestra. The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO) is arguably the most versatile and active orchestra in Africa.


Running for their 103rd year, the orchestra continues to deliver performances of the highest standard with impeccable ‘tutti’ playing and impressive repertoire. Not only do the CPO deliver their own programmes, but are involved in many collaborations – such as providing production music at the Artscape theatre (think West Side Story).

Having performed with the most virtuosic conductors and soloists, international and local, the CPO concert series’ are a great night out for anyone -  classical music aficionado or not. Their exciting Autumn Symphony programme is bound to stir more than a few emotions in those lucky enough to find tickets. The performances include:
