Dry White. The type of wine that pairs well with fish dishes. The description in my one very lonely friend's Tinder bio. And an outrageously funny one-man show by comedian Nik Rabinowitz which returns to The Baxter Concert Hall this festive season.

The show was originally devised under the impression that Cape Town was still fast on track to resembling a sub-Saharan desert. It's been updated since then, because joking about a severe drought is less funny when people have stopped caring so much about preventing one. This reboot is "100% Vegan and Green friendly. Made up of minimum 10% recycled material and 15% upcycled jokes. No punchlines tested on animals. Lols guaranteed."

So there you have it - if you like your humour free of animal cruelty and seasoned with just the right amount of ethically-sourced earnest, then you should be pairing Dry White with your festive entertainment itinerary.
